Last rolls

The dice come from your browser's cryptographic random generator: bytes 252–255 are thrown away and each remaining byte becomes byte % 6 + 1, so every face is equally likely. Nothing is sent anywhere. For games against other people, TavlArena also seals the dice before the game so you can check them afterwards: see fair dice.

    Odds for two dice

    ResultWays out of 36Chance
A particular double (for example 6-6)12.8%
    Any double616.7%
A particular mixed roll (for example 6-5, either way round)25.6%

    Hitting a blot 6 pips away (direct 6, 5-1, 4-2, 3-3, 2-2)1747.2%

The last row is why distance matters: a blot 6 pips away is hit by any 6 (11 rolls), by 5-1 and 4-2 (4 more), and by 3-3 and 2-2 (2 more), if nothing is in the way.
